Area Big Business Steps in to Support The Cuskey Foundation 4 The Kids

July 12, 2010 (West Chester, PA) - - The Cuskey Foundation 4 The Kids, a non-profit charitable organization which provides for the educational, creative, and athletic needs of children in the Chester County area, has gained the support of local management from large businesses towards its fundraising and awareness efforts.

The Cuskey Foundation 4 The Kids was in the Boscov’s department store at Exton Square Mall on Saturday, July 17th, with special discount tickets for Boscov’s purchases. For a donation to The Cuskey Foundation for The Kids of just $5, the contributor received a certificate good for 25% off purchases made at Boscov’s upcoming October 5th super-sale. That’s Boscov’s way of helping a worthy non-profit raise funds.

Sam’s Club and Walmart, located at Main Street at Exton, will host The Cuskey Foundation 4 The Kids on Saturday, July 24th, at 10AM to sell hot dogs and sodas as their way of supporting the charitable foundation’s fundraising efforts. Proceeds of hot dog and soda sales will benefit the Foundation’s work with area children.

The Cuskey Foundation 4 The Kids is a non-profit organization which supports financially disadvantaged and medically needy children in three ways. First, the Foundation provides free day camps consisting of activities such as arts & crafts; fun learning workshops focusing on basic reading, writing and spelling skills; safe, age-appropriate athletic activities and games; and VIP guest speakers such as police and firefighter representatives and nutrition experts.

Second, the Foundation will establish memorial scholarships at schools, churches, and other organizations in memory of a young person who died prematurely, and in so doing raise awareness for the issues that led to their passing.

Third, the Foundation exists in order to donate a portion of proceeds from its fundraisers to local pediatric centers and uninsured families in financial need.
